Merry & Bright: Festive Holiday Card – Honey Bee Stamps

Hey yall! Poppin’ in to share a holiday card I made over the weekend. I am mixing new products from the Honey Bee Stamps Cozy Christmas release with previously released products. I love the florals and snow texture – similar to my last HBS card. It’s been fun creating with this release and I think you’d love it too.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Create a 5 x 7 inch card base. Trim two pattern paper panels a little smaller from the North Pole paper pad. Distress the edges of each panel with scissors and ink blend the edges lightly with brown ink.
  2. On the top most patterned paper panel, trim and adhere two snow banks hand trimmed from white cardstock with scissors. Add Snow Tex on the snow banks and set aside to dry. You can also find Snow Tex on Amazon if it is out of stock on the HBS website.
  3. Die cut the pieces of the Vintage Mailbox from dark red cardstock and brushed gold cardstock for the details. Add ink blending around the mailbox with brown ink for shading. Add gold wax around the mailbox for additional distressing and a little shine.
  4. Die cut the Merry and Bright die from two layers of white and one layer of brushed gold cardstock. Adhere the layers together and add to the mailbox front.
  5. Die cut several flowers from Lovely Layers: Mini Holiday Florals. I die cut some from colored cardstock, some from white and added shading with ink blending and markers.
  6. I adhered all of the flowers on top of the mailbox and inside the flap. I adhered the mailbox to the card front with foam tape.
  7. I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Wonder of Christmas stamp set. Die cut with the coordinating die and put it inside the mailbox for a surprise sentiment.
  8. I added small metallic discs to the mailbox flap to keep it closed.
  9. I added white splatter and Snow Tex all over the card elements.

Thanks for stopping by! I have a couple more pics on my Instagram, so head over there if you want to see more. Happy Veteran’s Day to all who served.

Happy crafting,
Tiffany
